Callejon „Zombieactionhauptquartier“
Callejon sind ohne Zweifel große Horror-Fans, was sich nicht nur im Titel des aktuellen Albums, sondern auch in Songtitel wie „Zombiefied“, oder auch „Tanz der Teufel“ offenbart. Dementsprechend überrascht es auch nicht, dass die Jungs ihre Musikrichtung selber als „Zombiecore“ umschreiben, was im Endeffekt aber nichts anderes bedeutet als, dass Callejon sich ganz und gar dem Metalcore-Genre verschrieben haben. Musikalisch bekommt man daher auch nicht wirklich Innovative Kost vorgesetzt, sondern der zwischen harten und zarten Passagen pendelte Metalcore aus dem (Leichen-)Haus von Callejon entpuppt sich als grundsolide und handwerklich sauber umgesetzt. Was jedoch dem Sound eine besondere Note verpasst, das sind die in Deutsch gehaltenen Texte, die zwar nicht wirklich tiefgründige Themen aufgreifen, aber dennoch zu überzeugen vermögen. Songs wie „Spiel mir das Lied vom Sterben“, „Der Tag an dem die Schwärze blieb“, „Das Ende von John Wayne“ und das schon erwähnte „Tanz der Teufel“ bieten somit kurzweilig Unterhaltung, nicht mehr und auch nicht weniger.
