Cavalera Conspiracy ist der wahr gewordene Traum eines jeden Metalheads, da mit dieser Band endlich jener Bruderstreit ein Ende findet, der über die Jahre hinweg schon so oft die Gemüter der Fans erhitzt hat.

Max und Igor Cavalera haben sich also wieder lieb und beweisen dies der versammelten Metalwelt, in dem sie nicht etwa wieder bei Sepultura zusammenspielen, sondern einfach mal eine neue Band namens Cavalera Conspiracy aus der Taufe heben. Musikalisch bewegen sich die beiden dabei auf gewohnten Pfaden, da sich der Sound irgendwo zwischen Sepultura und Soulfly bewegt, was bei genauerer Betrachtung zwar nicht sonderlich innovativ, aber nichtsdestotrotz sehr effektiv ist. Denn anstatt die Fans mit irgendwelchen Experimenten zu verschrecken wird mit "Inflikted" genaue jene Art von Musik aufgefahren, die die Fans von dieser "Reunion" auch erwarten. So prescht schon der Opener, der gleichzeitig auch der Titeltrack ist, mit einer ungestümen Wucht und Aggressivität nach vorne los, dass es einfach nur eine wahre Freude ist. Und diese Aussage trifft grundsätzlich auf das ganze Album zu, da "Inflikted" durchgehend zu unterhalten vermag, sich Songs wie z.B. das wirklich geile "Dark Ark" einem geradewegs in die Gehörgänge prügeln.

"Inflikted" ist sicherlich nicht das Meisterwerk geworden, das man sich von der Wiedervereinigung der beiden Cavalera Brüder erhofft hat. Vielmehr handelt es sich bei "Inflikted" um ein auf Nummer sicher getrimmtes Album, das niemanden überraschen, aber auch nicht langweilen wird.
