Signum Regis "Signum Regis"
Was macht ein Musiker, wenn er Musik komponiert hat, die stilistisch nicht zu seiner Hauptband passt? Nun, er gründet einfach ein Nebenprojekt, um dort jene Musik unterzubringen. So hat es auch Ronnie König gemacht, der ansonsten bei Vindex den Bass zupft, und mit "Signum Regis" das Debütwerk seines Nebenprojektes präsentiert.
Signum Regis, die 2007 ins Leben gerufen wurden, spielen jene Art von Musik, die sich wohl am ehesten als progressiver Power Metal mit neoklassischen Elementen umschreiben lässt. Dabei präsentiert sich die Musik im Allgemeinen als sehr Geschmackssicher umgesetzt, vermeiden die Mannen um Ronnie König es wissendlich, in irgendwelche kitschigen Untiefen abzudriften. Ebenfalls wird auf unnötiges Egogehabe in Form ausufernden Solos verzichtet, stattdessen musizieren Signum Regis lieber songdienlich und auf den Punkt gebracht. Die glasklare und transparente Produktion tut dabei ihr übrigens, um den ohnehin positiven Gesamteindruck zusätzlich zu unterstützen.
Signum Regis liefern mit ihrem Debütalbum ein mehr als nur gutes Werk ab, in das jeder Genre-Fan mal reinhören sollte. Aus diesem Grund kann man auch davon ausgehen, dass man von Signum Regis sicherlich noch einiges hören wird.
